Employers

As an employer am I eligible for grants?

As an employer who recruits an apprenticeship you may be eligible for the Government Apprenticeship Grant of £1500. To check your eligibility you will need to talk to one of the Business Advisors who will help you complete the paperwork.

There are also other grants available. The Wigan Council Business Apprenticeship programme is available for employers based in the Wigan borough who recruit an Apprentice. You may also claim the grant if your company is based outside of the Wigan area and you recruit an apprentice that resides within the Wigan borough.
