Management Apprenticeships 

Higher Apprenticeships combine on the job training whilst studying towards a high level qualification. We have exceptional facilities across the College with dedicated workshops and specialised learning environments. We have unrivalled links with employers to ensure all our programmes meet the needs of the industry. 

These flexible programmes would suit individuals in a Management, Head of Function or Area Manager role. 

Team Leading Apprenticeship Level 2

You will study the ILM Management Level 2 qualification which is a nationally recognised and respected certificated training programme. It is a flexible course designed to fit around your working life and training will take place in the workplace.

The course will take approximately 15 months to complete. Learners can progress onto Level 3 Management qualifications.The course is aimed at team leaders or aspiring team leaders or those who wish to progress into management in the future.

Mandatory units:

– Manage personal performance and development

– Communicate work-related information

– Lead and manage a team

– Principles of team leading

– Understand business

Plus a selection of optional units to make up the required amount of credits

– ERR workbook

– Functional Skills (if applicable)

Management Apprenticeships Level 3

You will study the ILM Management Level 3 qualification course which is a nationally recognised and respected certificated training programme. It is a flexible course designed to fit around your working life. Completion of the course will take approximately 15-18 months. Learners can progress onto Level 5 Management qualifications.

The Advanced apprenticeship programme is aimed at Managers working in an operational capacity. It is for those people in (or aspiring to) first line managers.

Mandatory units:

– Manage personal and professional development

– Manage team performance

– Principles of leadership and management

– Principles of people management

– Principles of business

Plus a selection of optional units to

make up the required amount of credits

– ERR workbook

– Functional Skills (if applicable)

Management Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship

Apprentices will complete a Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Management and a Level 4 Diploma in Principles of Leadership and Management.

Management Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship

On this programme apprentices will gain the Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management and Leadership and the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Principles of Leadership and Management.

These 2 management qualifications are entirely delivered in the workplace. 

Care Leadership and Management Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship

This is a a Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship framework for those working as:

- Residential Managers

- Advanced Practitioners in Adult Social Care

- Manager of Specialist Adult Social Care

- Business Development Manager in Adult Social Care

Apprentices will study the Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services, which is delivered entirely in the workplace.

Higher Level Apprenticeship Level 4 - Business and Professional Administration

This comprehensive programme will ensure your employees have the essential skills to deliver effective administration and use the latest IT solutions to improve efficiency.

This programme is suitable for those employed in the following type of job roles;

- Officer Manager

- Administration Team Leader

- Personal Assistant

- Business Development Executive

Apprentices will study the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration together with either a Level 4 HNC Diploma in Business (Delivered in College) or Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration (delivered in the workplace).

Construction Management Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship

This framework is designed to supply small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the high level skills needed to compete in the fast moving industry.   This programme would suit individuals who are employed in a Site Management role and responsibilities include the management of contracts, staff and budgets. 

Apprentices can choose one of the following pathways:

- Construction and Building Services Management and Supervision (Sustainability)

Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction and Building Services Management and Supervision and Level 4 HNC Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment. 

- Construction Site Supervision 

Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment and Level 4 HNC Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment 

Construction Management Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship 

This programme is designed to improve supervision, management and leadership skills. This qualification will allow technicians to demonstrate their skills and knowledge to help improve business productivity. 

Apprentices will study Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment, Level 5 NVQ Construction Management and Level 5 HND. 

Hospitality Management Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship

This programme may be suitable to those working in the following types of roles:

- Deputy General Manager

- Front Officer Manager

- Operations Manager and Unit Manager

Apprentices will complete the Level 4 Diploma in Hospitality Management and Level 4 Diploma in Principles of Hospitality Management. This programme is delivered entirely in the workplace.
